This is my chat with Prince Wesley and Princess Andrea!
Me: “Welcome. Should I address you as Prince and Princess?”
Wesley: “That’s not necessary. I don’t use my title for gain. Unlike others I know.”
Andrea: “He means me. It’s not true.”
Me: “Since I know about the split that separates the normal land from your land, what would you like to tell me about the Vale?”
Andrea: “It’s a magical place.”
Wesley: “It’s horrific. Everyone is against you. The Vale can kill you, if she likes.”
Me: “Of course it can. What do you like about your kingdoms?”
Andrea: “I am unaware of my kingdom. There’s that evil twin of mine. I will defeat her. I don’t need this one to help me.”
Wesley: “I am going to be right next to you so stop being a brat.”
Me: “Are you two not friends?”
Wesley: “I am what I’ve always been to her. A protector. Our parents want us married. I am not opposed to it. But we are still young. She has just turned 16. I am 18. We don’t need to rush anything.”
Andrea: “Wesley is going to fail to mention that he and I are trying the dating thing currently.”
Me: “Yes, that’s right. How is it going?”
Andrea: “Terrible. I feel so unloved.”
Wesley: “Really? Is that so? This is ridiculous. We don’t need to discuss our relationship now. Besides, it’s hardly a relationship. I don’t consider us dating. You tricked me into thinking that you wanted to begin a real relationship, to see if we can ever work as a married couple. I don’t know which hurts more. Being deceived by you, or ignored.”
Me: “As I recall, Andrea, you used to care for Wesley.”
Andrea: “I was a child. Not that I don’t still care for him. He is my best friend. My experiences have changed me though. We left our homes to escape The Smiling Man. I’ve missed so much in the Vale. It’s not fair that I had to grow up here. I don’t know how much more will change for us once we are back in the Vale permanently.”
Wesley: “We are hoping to be back in the Vale permanently, soon. I already had to go there to save her, and that caused serious problems.”
Andrea: “Save me? You did not save me. Cornelius saved me. Stop trying to be the hero.”
Wesley: “Can I be assured of our going back and staying there to resolve anymore issues that arise?”
Me: “Yes.”
Wesley: “We should end this now. I fear that the Goblin King is lurking, or has one of his minions sneaking around. The last thing we need is him knowing how much you will or won’t help us.”
Me: “You talk a lot of sense.”
Wesley: “I have to. This one never talks any sense.”
Andrea: “Do I have to marry him?”
Me: “There is another candidate, if you like.”
Wesley: “There will not be any other candidates.”
Me: “Until we meet again.”
Wesley: “Do take care.”
Andrea: “There are far worse things in the Vale than the Smiling Man, just so you know.”
Wesley: “She does know.”
Me: “Indeed there is. Bye for now. I’ll keep an eye on the Goblin King for you.”
