Okay, so I am against AI stealing artists’ art, writing for authors, but… I have to admit to using ChatGPT to figure out my story’s blurb. I am terrible at writing them. Where I do believe I’ve improved, AI really does know how to write stuff. Now, let me be very clear: I am not going to copy and paste and use what the little AI chat buddy typed. I will admit that it is very good. I am even going to share it on here. I do intend to pull inspiration from the samples I got and make up my own blurb. Again let me stress, I DO NOT SUPPORT AI THAT STEALS FROM ARTISTS AND AUTHORS. I will NEVER let AI write my books for me. I’ve never read a book written by AI, but I would notice the difference. Authors have a tone. We have a tone that can’t be duplicated by AI. Let me show what ChatGPT wrote.
Two rulers want her heart.
She’s fighting to save her kingdom.
Love will have to wait.
The Goblin King rules the dark with fire and fury. The Fairy Prince reigns in light and legend. Both are powerful. Both are beautiful. And both want Elira’s hand in marriage.
But Eliria is no prize to be won.
As her cursed kingdom teeters on the brink of ruin, Elira must navigate treacherous politics, ancient magic, and her own heart. To save her people, she’ll need more than charm or courage—she’ll need to outwit kings, outmatch monsters, and uncover the truth behind the curse that threatens everything.
In a land where love is a weapon and thrones are made of lies, Elira must choose her fate… or forge a new one.
That is the first sample it came up with. It is meant to be lyrical and enchanting. Now onto the second one.
Two powerful suitors.
One cursed kingdom.
And a girl who refuses to be conquered—by love or by fate.
Elira never asked to be caught between legends. The Goblin King is all shadows and secrets, with a voice like smoke and a gaze that burns. The Fairy Prince is light and starlight, wrapped in grace and golden promises. They both want her hand. They both vow to help lift the curse strangling her kingdom.
But Elira is not a trophy. And her heart is not a battlefield.
As darkness creeps closer and ancient magic stirs, Elira must unravel the truth buried beneath courtly lies and forgotten history. The fate of her people—and her own—depends on it. Love might save her. Or it might destroy everything.
In a world of beauty and ruin, choosing who to trust may be the most dangerous decision of all.
Now, let me share with you the one I came up with. You will see the difference right away. I normally only share these things with newsletter subscribers, but I want to show you the difference between AI and a real author’s blurb.
The Goblin King vows to have her as his queen. The Fairy Prince vows to fight for her heart. She refuses to be defined by a man’s love for her.
Her kingdom is in trouble. Haunting voices whisper to her, calling her back home to the Vale, luring her to the Goblin King. Andrea isn’t prepared for a magical fight or the dangers of temptation.
His kingdom needs him. The fae rely on magic, and his absence threatens their entire existence. Wesley isn’t ready to accept his true self or the consequences of his actions.
There is my blurb. I think it will be the official one. But you see the difference? You can tell a human wrote that third one. ME! Anyway, back to writing. If anyone wants to check out my books, there are more detailed descriptions on the site, and I update BUY LINKS as my books become available. TTYS.
